According to French folklore, anytime a full moon falls on Bastille day Peugeot 207s roam Frances streets searching for naughty children to devour in it's gaping maw. Peugeot used their sewing machine expertise to craft the finest weakest engines possible for the 207.

I quite like the 207. It doesn't have a lot going for it but two lasses at work have been driving them to death but they won't die.

When I was in France a few years ago I rented a Peugeot 207CC Serie Sixty Four, and I loved it. The engine was fine, with one exception - trying to climb the hill to Fort de la Bastille in Grenoble, a woman walked out in front of me and I had to stop. Trying to get the little car started on the hill again, I had to hold the parking brake as I rev'd it and let the clutch out, and it took every ounce that car had to get moving again.

The biggest issue was my wife was miserable in it, she has very long legs and even with the seat all the way back found it to be very uncomfortable. Also, I got into a fight with the convertible top because the controls and DIC are all in French, which I don't speak. I eventually figured out there was an interlock in the truck with the luggage cover, after several sessions of me yelling "SPEAK G*D*** ENGLISH YOU M*****F*****!!!" at it, and it not lowering the top.

Believe it or not, I drove two laps of the Nurburgring in this 207 back in 2007, ans was passenger for another lap. It's one of the best times I've ever had in a car.

Ah yes, the 207. Probably the epitome of the malaise era of PSA.

As Duurtlang already said: this is maybe the worst car from one of the worts time of Peugeot car design. Just don't.
